The new album, "another stupid drama", was released on March 26, 2011, on Don't B Jealous Records, our own indie label. Kevin Howell and Nathan Olivarez have been partners for over a decade. Kevin was a driving force in the making of this album and the freshman album as well, "Nathan's Stupid Drama."

The conception of "stupid drama" began when Nathan decided to take his acoustic material more serious. As a seasoned veteran in the regionally successful metal band, Dancyr, Nathan pushed his dream of a full on acoustic arena rock band and made music that has never been heard like this before. Nathan says, "It's very difficult to come up with music that is an homage to the arena bands that I love and still make it acoustic. On this project, I believe we did that."

With the help of best friends, Bobby Rock (Honky/GMC), Trevor Scott Detling (Thief/Outlaw Circus), and Larry Clubb (Dancyr/Band From Hell), we started to work on the acoustic material. After many shows, line-up changes and demos, work began on the debut, "Nathan's Stupid Drama." With professional kick-ass musicians, Jemmie Hill, Jubal and Bradley Shannon, we began recording tracks for NSD.

Kevin Howell heard the roughs and decided to produce the session. He moved the studio out to Nathan's place on a 25 acre ranch that included an empty barn. They soon turned the barn in to living quarters and a studio. Studio on Nathan's side and IT on Kevin's side. Together, they fought, cried, and spit this debut album out. With critical acclaim of the first album, we began touring and writing for the next batch of recordings. During a small solo tour, Nathan heard and enlisted the help of Marco Antonio "Tony" Valdez, a grammy award winning bassist from Corpus Christi, Texas. Together they started pre-production on the next album and the search was on for a bad ass drummer.

The call was made to original drummer, Trevor Scott Detling, and he gladly stepped in and brought his thunder along with a 30-year history with making music together with Nathan. Together the three were ready to begin the band's sophomore effort.

Upon a phone call from Jemmie Hill, it was suggested that Nathan come and see an amazing guitar player by the name of Jeff Banks of The Jeff Banks Band. "I became an immediate fan of Jeff's, and asked if he wanted to record and do shows. Jeff is the best unknown guitar player in the world, and it's an honor and a privilege to have him on this record." says Nathan.

"another" took three years because we were sneaking in to the studio in between sessions and off time along with health scares and a mental breakdown. We trudged on and as production continued we started adding special guests on backing vocals from Austin Howell (The Jeff Banks Band/LoveHateLove) and orchestration from Steve Bernal, bassist/cellist and Monica Howell, violinist. After mixing and mastering the new music, 10 songs were decided upon to make the collection called "another stupid drama."

With many pro live musicians making up the band, all over America, as well as Nathan's amazing solo performances, Nathan will bring his 12-string wizardry and distinct vocal stylings to a city near you.

By showcasing Texas, and having vast audio/video resources, stupid drama is the next band to take on the Texas tradition for great rock 'n roll music.
